We stayed over night in PA and then stopped at the Glenn Curtiss museum in Hammondsport, NY – Curtiss was like the Wright Bros. just a couple of years behind them, but was the first to fly a kilometer. He started in bicycles, motorcycles, custom engires for blimps, airplanes, the fifth wheel trailer, USS Curtiss and on and on…. His two most famous planes were there, the JN-4 Jenny (a WWI trainer) and P-40 Tomahawk (sadly not a real one, but a 3/4 sized flying model) The museum is an eclectic mix of all of the above and more. (Lots of early aviation stuff)
All in all a great week-end!
