Getting ready for cyclocross. New socks and a new helmet. I don’t buy a lot of new cycling stuff (I am sure the CFO disagrees) but my evidence is the shoes held together with inner tubes on the toes.

I thought my POD was done…. while working in the yard, I heard the screech of tires and a loud crash, I ran down the 1/4 mile driveway and couldn’t find a crash…. what? Then I found the skid marks, (the water is from the fire trucks) the car was deep in the woods, I helped the driver out and calmed her as much as anyone could, lucky driver, she is OK, the car is not. A simple mistake, she reached behind her to scratch her back, went off the right side of the road (where cyclists are!) over corrected, spun and backed into the woods (the lucky part)

Sam wanted to do her first 5k this summer, and we choose the Color Run in Greensboro.

We have not started, and already “colored”

And we are off…..

So the run is broken up by stations where strangers throw colored corn starch on you.

Testing a student’s Lumix GX1 – Might be my next camera to play with, it’s older and cheap, but has the classic Leica rangefinder look, and is much lighter than carrying my dSLR everywhere.

Almost didn’t leave the house today. My back is still too sore to workout, I am reading “Drive Nacho Drive” on an eBook, but we needed dinner (Calzones) and to walk the dog.

Back seat critics. It’s 11:40pm and I don’t have a POD, driving home from the Clark’s, all I hear from Deb and Sam is  – “those are boring pictures, find a straight long road.” As I say – get your own POD page!
