091815podPoor Toyotas. The Tacoma had a ARB bumper and looked like an engine fire. The 4Runner was just wrecked.

My singles tennis tournament ended. It was a great match, and we were on serve through the first 7 games, I was taking him to deuce every game and won my first 2 without him taking a point, I had a break point 3 or 4 times on the 7th game, and then my serve went to deuce at least 10 times and something twitched in my back and got worse and worse…. I didn’t win another game. I guess 6 matches (4 singles) in 9 days was too much when all I do is 2 doubles matches a week. Doubles continues on Saturday…. then off tennis for a while as I get ready for cyclocross!

My match, I started great went up 4-0 and had to hold on for a 8-6 win in the Pro Set format in the consolation bracket. Next up, doubles Thursday and singles Friday.

The little GX1 is not bad on shutter lag, but these are not tack sharp, now I need a wide prime and a longer lens for the camera.

091215podThis is not the picture I shot thinking it would be my POD, but…. Sam had to visit a church/religious service other than hers for her college class.¬† We visited a Jewish Synagogue and while she was inside, I parked in back and did a yoga session, all the while staring at this “rock?” across the lawn. I am not sure if it is supposed to scare¬† animals or show other dogs how to poop.

091115podI played my first match in a tennis tournament since 1993? or so. I have only been playing doubles, so today’s single match was exhausting! I won 6-3 and 6-2. It’s an open tournament, and I play the guy who finished second last year tomorrow (that should move me to the consolation round) and then a doubles match Sunday.
