James and Elizabeth drove down from Fredericksburgto camp, cheer (heckle) me during a cross race and hike. Due to some odd USA Cycling rule, I was not allowed to race with a one day license, so no race for me…. what to do?
Hike… #45 of #52hikechallenge – I read about English Falls, the hike directions said from a guardrail on the Blue Ridge Parkway, head east and butt slide down the cliff race… listed as a 9/10 beauty rating if it has rained. I think it was a 10/10
After lunch, we hiked the back side of Linville Falls.
No color left, but a lot of water. Hike #46
Wiseman View, 1500 feet above the Linville River and a great view of Hawksbill Mountain.
Riding along the Blue Ridge Parkway, we saw this waterfall, even backtracked to the Chestoa View Overlook, but I can not find what waterfall it is…. it is big!
Back on dirt roads and pictures of Tacos.
One more of English Falls
I arrived in the mountain in a fog, I had noticed on a stop I had no taillights? When I got to the cabin, I had to fix them.
in the pouring rain…. not a fuse or bulb, but those stupid splice things the previous owner used, I will have to undo everything and re-solder the wires!
Better living through chemistry…. trying to get better to race this weekend.
Need a Photo A Day? Have a macro lens? a cat? Problem solved.
Snake
The storm is over….
If you have an errand to run, you better bring the dog!
I headed to Moore County for a road ride with friends then stopped at Bear Creek Trails in Robbins for a hike. #44 #52hikechallenge
My series, Clay taking pictures of things got an upgrade, no more cell phone as Clay upgraded to the Sony A6000
Today was supposed to be my first cross race of the year, but I am under the weather, so I stayed home and did chores. I started with a oil change on Deb’s car, as I drove it to warm it up, the brakes were squealing, so next up brakes, then I waxed half her car, mowed the grass, replaced a door handle on the Land Cruiser and worked on the bikes. It’s less work to race bikes!
