Introducing “Kali” my new (to me) mountain bike. Honestly this is a nicer mountain bike than I thought I would ever own, Niner Jet RDO – all carbon full suspension, XT drive train. I named her after the Hindu goddess Kali – “she who is black” – Kali’s earliest appearance is that of a destroyer of evil forces, her eyes are described as red with intoxication and in absolute rage. (match red highlights on the bike)

Woodruff Branch Falls
Swimming hole on Anthony Creek near Globe, NC
Upper Little Lost Cove Falls – This is an awesome waterfall and better hike, starting at a primitive camping spot, it’s a short hike, but the trip up and down to the waterfall requires a rope.
A snake suns itself near Linville Falls. I found two dead black snakes killed by humans… both on the trail… I hate humans sometimes!
