Saying goodbye. The Clark’s have retired, loaded the U-Haul and moving to Texas, Clay and I did our first triathlon at the same time (we didn’t know each other then) and have raced up and down the east coast and in British Columbia. We have vacationed together, shared meals and fed each other ideas for 25 years (my best one was buy two Jeeps when he couldn’t decide between a 2 door or 4) Can’t wait to visit them on their Texas ranch soon!

Bike ride saves. I stop to help some things cross the road, this was a first for me, a hickory horned devil – had to Google it – “Mature hickory horned devil caterpillars are quite large and can grow up to 5.5 inches (14 cm) long. Overall the caterpillar resembles a ferocious dragon, but it is not dangerous or harmful. The spines are not poisonous and not very sharp.” Wish I had known that, I helped it with a stick, would have loved to hold it….

Dhanraj makes us Matcha Latte

the rest of my evening went sideways, come home to basement flooded by AC condensation pump failure, clean up water and go buy one to replace it and come back home, basement is flooded again, this time by sump pump. We had lightning the night before but really two pumps die-ing? All the circuit breakers were on… damn if those pumps are not on a GCI circuit that tripped…. At least I got an hour massage for free from the students at RCC.
