The Riverrun Film Festival held a drive-in showing for the documentary “Navigating Thru” Only 1/4 of hikers that start the thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail finish, and of those only 1/4 are women and the documentary told that story.
The 7th film festival laurel on the Blue & Gold Marching Machine poster, the documentary by my 2019 photojournalism class. It is also the biggest two festivals my students work has been accepted to, Indie Grits and Riverrun, as well as winning best documentary at Cape Fear Independent Film Festival.
I spent mt Saturday at work, grading and final prepping the 2020 photojournalism class documentary for film festival entries.
I started a documentary today on Guilford College’s new women’s rugby team.
