Post ride photo session
The only weekend for a month where cyclocross isn’t both days, so what better way to spend it
A ride at Salem Lake. A couple weeks ago I rode here and couldn’t make a picture I wanted with my iPhone digital zoom, so today I carried my dSLR and glad I did.
Post bike ride photo session with Pongo. One of the things I have been frustrated with lately is so many Photo A Day images made with my iPhone since I always have it with me. I started carrying my Nikon full-time and wanted to see the difference without much editing between them. This is the Nikon and had much richer colors
The iPhone had the shadows more open straight from camera.
The Nikon is my 10 year old D7000 and my hiking lenses. (Read slow and plastic) This image required opening shadows.
The iPhone handled the back lighting way better. Ugh.
Part of the reasoning is the longer lens, iPhone digital zoom is terrible. But at least Pongo looks great in fall colors ; )
A pretty day to ride. After the ride the winter indoor session started, Dennis and I played well together, won the first set 6-4, lost second 2-6 and won the third set tiebreaker 11-9
I went back to the site of yesterday’s CX race to ride the mountain bike trails
It was tough to follow the leave covered trails and they are not used much.
Fall is trying to start in the mountains
Boone Town Throw Down – it’s several weeks early this year.
My race went like Scott’s picture. I was DFL again, hit the ground hard once, but had a blast!
An evening hike in the Uwharries
Kodak needed to get out and burn off some turkey
An awesome and peaceful walk
Kodak walks on water
Mountain biking in the Fall!
