Photo A Day Project 2015 (photo by Jay Capers)Kodak found a new best friend. These two would have done this all day long if we let them. Porter and Kodak chased each other, ran through the creek, and rested in the mud puddles.

Photo A Day Project 2015 (photo by Jay Capers)For those who know Johnny, this rare, it is not him under his Land Cruiser fixing something. Brian let Heather drive the Land Cruiser, when she crossed a rut on the trail (or drove into the ravine) the front differential exploded? After removing the front drive shaft, we said good bye to the group. I really hope they made it the 4 plus hours home!

062815pod_377We moved to a new campsite in the Pisgah National Forest. I tried a little light painting with a flashlight.

Photo A Day Project 2015 (photo by Jay Capers)Breggs. James and Elizabeth made Breggs while I cooked our cinnamon rolls in their oven (it just made sense because I had to borrow their pan) Our first morning at the COE group campsite on Kerr Lake was off to a great start.

Photo A Day Project 2015 (photo by Jay Capers)A plan was hatched to kayak the 3 miles or so to a jumping rock, we decided to take Kodak with us in the kayak.

Photo A Day Project 2015 (photo by Jay Capers)That lasted for a mile or so, and she decided she wanted back on shore. I dropped the dog and Deb off on shore, pointed the way to walk back to camp and Sam and I joined the group.

Photo A Day Project 2015 (photo by Jay Capers)Jim McNabb dives from the rock. The water right in front of it is reported to be 60 feet deep.

Photo A Day Project 2015 (photo by Jay Capers)Sam wasn’t so sure…..

Photo A Day Project 2015 (photo by Jay Capers)But made the leap (from the lower ledge, the same lower ledge I jumped from. The footing on the top one kept me from even considering the leap)

Photo A Day Project 2015 (photo by Jay Capers)After the long 3.5 miles of paddling back in rough water, Sam decided to try Stand Up Paddle Boarding, in our protected cove while I took a nap.
