Burk came back to RCC to critique student work. He did an awesome job!
Burk Uzzle gave a guest lecture at Randolph Community College. Very inspiring and I love that he is still shooting after 60 years.
Burk in B&W since the photo was B&W
Michael Williamson from the Washington Post talks at the Northern Short Course in Fairfax, VA. His talk, “It’s not the tool, it’s the fool” is a bland of his great humor and helpful tips, including the “Problem Solving Hand”
The RCC Photojournalism class of 2015
Sol Neelman wore a Mexican wrestling mask his whole presentation during the Southern Short Course, and it didn’t even feel odd….. great speakers and day.
DITLO Ice Cream. Continuing the tradition from the D&C days, my class does a DITLO (Day in the Life of…) and we meet for ice cream too.
One of my favorite labs. I saved a real “clip contest” from 2004 and each year my class re-judges it. I love watching them narrow down over 100 images (in six different categories) and then debate the winners and order of first, second and third.
I have done this a million times. But today was one of those days. Class starts at 8am and between lecture and lab, goes to 4:40. Then I am moving assignments around on my PJ class and multimedia class, so my datebook looks like this to me!
